Terms for paid placements

These terms apply to every paid placement on Yorker Media's websites: sponsored posts, link insertions, mentions, directory listings and top spots. Paying for a placement means you accept them.

1. What you get

Exactly what we agreed in writing (mail is fine): the site, the page or new post, the text or mention, and the link(s) with their anchor text. Client links are do-follow.

2. Payment

  • New clients and agencies: 100% before we publish.
  • Returning clients: we publish, then invoice; payment is due within 7 days.
  • Methods: bank transfer (ACH or international wire). PayPal only if you cover the PayPal fees on top of the price.
  • Prices are in US dollars.

3. Publishing

We publish after payment (where due) and once we have the final content. We may edit client content for accuracy, style, length and our editorial rules. Where the law requires it, a placement may carry a short disclosure.

4. How long it stays

  • Monthly or yearly placements stay live for the paid period. They come down at the end unless renewed.
  • Lifetime / permanent placements stay live for as long as we run that site.
    • If we sell a site, the placement passes to the new owner.
    • If we close a site or remove the page, we move the placement to a comparable page on another of our sites.
  • We update and refresh our articles over time. A paid placement stays in the updated version.

5. Changes and removals

  • Small factual corrections are free. Other edits after publishing are quoted separately.
  • If you ask us to remove a placement, we remove it. There is no refund for the time it was live.
  • We remove a link, without refund, if its target page later turns into content we refuse (section 6), or redirects somewhere else.

6. Content we refuse

  • Illegal goods or services
  • Darknet or onion mirrors
  • Unlicensed pharmacies
  • Scams, phishing or malware
  • Payday-loan sites
  • Hate or harassment
  • Anything illegal where we or our readers are

Sensitive niches are accepted only on sites we choose, at the sensitive-niche price: crypto, casino and betting, trading, VPN, CBD, adult, essay writing.

7. Refunds

  • If we can't publish what we agreed, you get a full refund.
  • After a placement is live, no refunds.
  • One exception: if we take a monthly or yearly placement down for a reason on our side before its paid period ends, we refund the unused part.

8. No guarantees on results

We don't guarantee rankings, traffic, clicks or sales.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Placements already paid for keep the terms they were bought under.
